Can you crossfire a radeon Gigabyte 270 card and a sapphire 285?

Would I be able to crossfire a radeon r9 270 with a sapphire 285? Or would it be better to just replace the 270 entirely.

you can only corssfire the same cards, only 270 with 270 and 285 with 285
