G'day all,
Two connectors on my motherboard have me baffled. Can you help? The PC is in an HP Compaq 8200 Elite (date around 2011-2012, I think). I believe the motherboard's HP part number is 611834-001.
Firstly, there is the eSATA connector which has 25 pins. I want to install an eSATA port bracket into the case's back, but all the eSATA brackets I can find have SATA plugs! I really wanted to reserve my motherboard's few SATA sockets for HDDs and SSDs. Does anyone know where I can find an eSATA port bracket with a plug to fit the 26-pin socket shown in my photo below?
I'd also love to know what that "comb" socket is for. (It's described as "comb" in the HP Parts & Service Map for this PC, but gives no clues as to what it's for.
Many thanks!
