So I have a Powercolor rx 7900 xt reference card, and I want to tune it in the best possible way. I have some threads in the AD software; can you please take a look and suggest which of them is looking the best?

My PC:
Ryzen 7 5800x (Oc +0.2GHZ)
b550 msi
2x8 3800 cl 18 OCed
850w gold full modular PSU
4xArctic tunable Fans.
Just in case if you are interested: I have 1080P 165hz monitor.

Oof that was pretty cringe to read. There are tons of titles where my OC for my 4090 is the difference between stable fps and fluctuating.
Your definition of cringe is different from mine.

My definition of cringe is when someone claims that they need to overclock an RTX 4090 to achieve stable frames and expects people to believe them.

My RX 7900 XTX's frame rates are perfectly stable at 4K Ultra in every game I've ever tried (including Starfield) without the need to overclock and the RTX 4090 is 24% faster than the RX 7900 XTX.

If I were you, I would get my card looked at because I think that there's something really wrong with it. I have never heard of anyone needing to overclock an RX 7900 XT, RTX 4080, RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4090 before you made that post. In fact, all that I've seen and read anywhere is that the RTX 4090 just blows through every game thrown at it with little to no effort. If you have to overclock an RTX 4090 to get stable frames, either your card is defective or you're just plain doing it wrong.

Guys!

This thread has gotten way loose IMO, with input that may be correct, but may be hard for the OP to give feedback on.

Lets do that, give the OP a chance to respond before being overwhelmed by the number of varying responses, and resource which is not necessarily required.

Whilst one or many of us OC components to deferent degrees, the OP could be making brain soup out of the feedback so far.

To the OP: Summarize:

Yes, you can OC your GPU, you have a rough idea of how to approach that. Don't pay attention to any other numbers being posted here, as every single CPU/GPU is different from one to the next. Whilst one may have success OC'ing their card to whatever level, the next 'exact same' GPU may not be, and an OC can cause your system to crash or games just not play.

All OC'ing is done with a caveat: You may not get the results you think you'll get, or it may cause huge instability.

Also, just because one person has OC'ed their GPU, doesn't mean the OP is ready to trick around with it. Pointing to some OC'ing guides might be helpful here, as opposed to ones own experience with their card.

Peace out!

At first, I wanted to thank you all for the replay. I was working and had no time to check for replays lately. At this point, I have this card:

PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Graphics Card ( No OC as you can see )

As you can see, this is my default setting: no overclocking, no changes: View: https://imgur.com/a/xiyfaxp

It seems like some of the users have a little bit misunderstood me. I was not trying to overclock my card and get a little more extra fps, I still get my 300 fps in Apex with our overclocking, and I can play Alan Wake at 100 fps in 1080P Ultra No RT, of course. So the thing was that I was trying to get the best settings to work with cards, cards to word quite, and don't lose a lot of performance, as I saw some people were undervolting and overclocking, and I tried it as well.

If someone is itersted, I can get 2700+mhz with +15% total board power added to the card, and some times it goes up to 2800 as well. Let's say it keeps 2700 to 2800. However, if the hot spot is 85 degrees and the fans are spinning at 1600 rpm, I don't like that much.

(Using now) At this point, I'm runing,-5% power limit, 1040mv 2550 ( Still when stressting or in game goes to 2600 ) mhz, and GPU is runing amazing, much better than stock, I'm getting 66 degrees on GPU temp, and 75 hot spot with 1100 to 1200 RPM on coolers. And thanks every one for Advices. ( Let me know if you think this is good settigs ) :)

Overclocking a new card is a terrible idea. The RX 7900 XT is already wickedly-fast. Overclocking a card is best used when the card is old and you just want to extend its life a bit so you have time to find a replacement.

Personally, I can't remember ever overclocking any of my video cards and I've had twenty-two video cards over my lifetime thus far. If you want to tune it, I would only recommend undervolting it.
My 4070 Dual does fine at stock 2475mhz.
But at 2940-2970 ,almost 20% overclock, there is a very noticeable difference in the higher Lowest FPS @65-70c temps.
I have overclocked/tweeked every card /processor since my P75@90mhz and my Creative Voodoo Banshee with a spring tensioned heatsink zip tie mount..
Still have a lot of them.
They only component I have ever killed was mounting the heatsink on a P3 550E and cracked the die corner.
They were all abused within minutes of taking them out and torturing them first.
The joys of tinkering 😊

Well, yeah, if you enjoy doing it (and it can be fun, I won't lie) and know how to do it safely, then sure, go for it. My point was that it's not something that people need and if you need to overclock something that you bought as soon as you buy it, you should be buying something more high-end because it means that you what you bought wasn't actually good enough for your purposes in the first place. Doing it for fun is a different thing altogether. 😉👍
