Can you help me understand my Unigine Heaven Benchmark Score?

I just got my new PC and I'm running some tests. I tried Heaven Benchmark and I got so poor results. Why is this?

My setup:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700k CPU @ 4.20GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

RAM: 32 GB DDR4

Windows 10 x64

I saw the score tables and everybody have much better results even with presumably worse hardware. I know some of them have been OC but this is a huge difference. Thank you.

Hi,
Make sure that You have the latest nVidia graphics driver for the GTX 1080 Ti installed.
Download, install and restart the computer http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Direct link: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/117914/en-us

Since it is a new machine, make sure all Windows updates are installed.
And of course all the computer or motherboard drivers from the manufacturer installed (perhaps from a CD that came with it) - except the graphics driver for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti that You will use the above link for, or otherwise just update the graphics driver from nVidia.

[Edit] Also make sure that your monitor is connected to the graphics card and not to the graphics port on the motherboard (if that option exist on the motherboard).

drivers should be just fine even though I'll download them today. Regarding Windows updates, is not windows updating automatically? Wich updates should I search and where?

I'm conected through VGA since when I try to connect with HDMI (any of the two available) the windows screen seems to strech making impossible see the desktop icons or work with anything. Not being connected directly with the GPU through HDMI is the most likely reason, right? I didn't notice this at first because I could use the GPU in Blender. Now I have to figure out how to solve this screen weird thing.

I didn't assembled myself, the store operators did, and I don't really know what was the first thing they did after that, maybe they had a beer celebrating the good work they have done. 😉

Edit: Done!! It of course was the hdmi thing. I started the PC just with VGA, in the resolution tab shows just one screen, then I pluged in the HDMI and the second screen appears, just clicked the second screen and set it up as primary. After that the PC shows everything correct. I been able to to run the test again and... http://imgur.com/a/UEsXp
There's no color, such a difference. Do you think is now a good score for my setup? Thank you guys for answering.

I'm sorry for my late response.

Every time one has a new Windows (due to a new computer or a fresh Windows installation), do the following:

1. Start > Settings > Update & security > Windows update => Search for updates.
If updates is being installed, just wait and restart the computer when it says so.

2. Repeat until there are no more updates. It could take several hours.

3. Restart the computer again and check for Windows updates and restart.

4. Install the manufacturers drivers and restart.

5. Run Windows update again and restart.

Now, since Your graphics card does not even have a VGA port, it sounds to me that You have installed the cable connector from the monitor to the graphics port on Your motherboard - instead of one of the graphics ports directly to your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
That will explain the poor result in benchmarking and more off - you wouldn't use the very high performance graphics card at all.

Now, I assume your motherboard also has HDMI as well? Forget it! Make sure, as I said in my previous post, that you connect the monitor cables directly to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics ports, it is most likely DisplayPort most of them and probably one HDMI.

However, if you only have DVI monitor cables there are adapters for DispalyPort or HDMI.
If You only have an old vga cable get rid of it.
VGA is analog and very old standard. Video Cables Explained: Difference Between VGA, DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI Ports

If for some reason the monitor(s) doesn't shows the correct resolution automatically, just enter nVidas Control panel and adjust this.

[Edit] Just an example of a GTX 1080 Ti ports layout could be:
three DisplayPort 1.4 ports alongside an HDMI 2.0 port.

DisplayPort to DVI adapter in the box – handy if you have a monitor that only accepts this standard.
