Question can you move a motherboard with things still on it?

gonna build my brother a pc with some parts from mine since im getting new ones. can i take my motherboard out with the ram and cpu still attached and put it right into his pc or do i need to take the ram and cpu off and then put them back on once i put the motherboard into his pc?
