only thing I would suggest is that you probably don't need the z97 chipset as that's aimed at overclockers. I would get something like this

Then you could put the extra $50 on the video card

On Amazon, one of the reviews said there are issues installing Windows 8 with that motherboard. I'm not sure if I will experience that

Windows 8 is a pain to install anywhere lol but you should be fine with windows 8.1.
