It is hard to give a good rating without its price, but the specs are ok. With a 1080p screen you will usually be able to game at medium settings 60 fps with the 960m. Asus in general makes good quality laptops.

It is a good deal. In general a next step would a laptop equipped with a GTX 970m, but that would about $300 usd more. You might get lucky on some special sale though and get one cheaper, but you will have to wait and see if you can find one. Buy a SSD for it and you're good to go!

I rate the laptop in my sig as an 8.6 out of 10. To me, relatively speaking, it makes the one you're considering a 7.8 out of 10. My last laptop was an ASUS, and it was very good. They make some very well built machines. But their customer/warranty service is usually notoriously bad.
