2. You sure that money you spend on case fans and other stuff wouldn't be better spent on a mass storage drive? That 250GB M2 drive won't get you very far these days.

3. Also - you need an operating system license.

It works perfectly fine for me. i dunno whats wrong with it. i'm not signed in to that site. so never mind, search and you shall find.
Well IMHO i think to get you started at the least i think that M2 drive (costs 104 pounds - ish) is far better that the normal sata 600 because it mounted in a direct pci express socket that will allow you to have a data transfer that is considerably faster.
AND you could argue that there's no need for a larger drive if you haven't got that many games installed.
(i've got an Intel 150 gb ssd right now it's not even half full).
The better air circulation you've got that better is the performance. if you've got lots of fans in you cab, theres no need for fast rpm's because the air is being circulated at a fast rate at a low speed, thus it becomes less noisy. the fans cost 19 pounds for one.
(i've got 4 fans in mine right now and it wouldn't do if i had less fans)

in my shopping cart there's for 1368 pounds which gives you 132 pounds extra for the OS. though you could use a un-activated Windows 10 (which is free and legal btw, downloadable from MS) for your OS's needs 😀

in terms of budgeting your pc out of what i've collected, i might save some bucks on the CPU and go for a I5 instead and safe some buck on the graphics go for a ASUS PH-GTX1060-3G

That's a very hotly debated topic right now. Sure you could go the unactivated route, but then you're stuck with a very limited version of the operating system. You're far better off just paying the money for the license and being done with it. Going to the lengths of finding inexpensive (or in this case free) workarounds and it may seem like a good idea in the short run, but in the long run will prove to be more headache-inducing than it is worth it. I personally would choose the latter option than the former option.

well i'll agree with you if one's got the money and resources one should definitely buy a license for win 10.
BUT if you don't have that amount of money, well you'll be in a necessity state where you'll have to count your coins, be cause you can't afford spending between 199 -399 dollars on a license. i know i don't have that kinda money so i'll have to improvise and use a "work around" like USAFRet until i can afford one.

uhh i think we're getting out of track now... hehe amazing how a debate like this can turn a thread about hardware and pc build to a debate of Windows 10 .... LOL 😀

1. If your budget is £1500 (or even $1500), you can fit a Windows OS in there.

2. Win 10 Home is not $199-$399. More like $90. And few people need the extra features in Win 10 Pro.

3. That nagtext watermark is not just on the 'desktop', but it appears on top of everything. Games included.

Yeah that's why I usually advise it's best to pay the $90 for the license and be done with it. Attempts to find low cost or even free work arounds will be futile at best and will prove far more frustrating than they are worth in the long run.
