Can You Recover Windows 10 with a External DVD Player?

I recently bought a prebuilt computer from CyberPowerPC and everything worked great until I boot up the computer to see a blue screen with a message saying that acpi.sys was missing or corrupted and that I need to use the windows 10 recovery disc that comes with the computer. One problem, the computer does not come with a optical drive, so I plan on buying a external dvd player so I can put the recovery disc into the player. Will this work? Thanks
