Can you solder a memory slot to the Acer Aspire One AO722?

Hello,
I got an Acer Notebook.
Can you solder a memory slot to the Acer Aspire One AO722? The idea is to have more than 4GB of RAM thought I do not know if it is of any use. The os is Window 7 home premium x64.

No, you can't solder an extra slot onto your notebook.

I have the exact same netbook, and I've been searching for the answer to that question myself. Are you certain that you can't add this slot? The soldering may be extremely difficult, but it appears possible... since there is a spot for it:

Just no RAM clip/holder/etc, to put the chip into. I also noticed CPU-Z shows "Slot #2" in the dropdown. But I wonder if it would even be recognized by the bios, since it was clearly designed to use a maximum of 4GB.

Ordered the DDR3 Notebook memory slot as shown in

But ended up getting one with the notch on the wrong side.

A common issue with notebook is memory slot issues. Memory slots have 200 pins sometimes 1 or 2 of these pins can short & cause blue displays.

^ Either you were being overly literal and answering without requiring said slot to actually _work_ - or you know something we don't about the upgrade and should post pictorial evidence. Which was it?
