Can you spot any problems with this build? Will the cooler fit?

Building a new rig but haven't done this in a while.

Do you see any compatibility issues with these components or have I missed something important completely?

i5-4690K
ASUS z97M-Plus
Corsair 2x8GB 1600MHz
Gigabyte GTX 970
WD Black 1TB
WD Blue 1TB - existing
CM Hyper 212 evo
Corsair obsidian 350d
Corsair RM 650 - a friend told me not to get the RM series as they have a lot of problems. Google didn't find any though. An alternative would be a 660w Seasonic Platinum.

No SSD is a choice I have to make for now due to some concerns with advantech DAQ hardware I'm using.

EDIT: I think I spoted a problem myself. The CPU cooler seems to be blocking the first memory slot.

The Corsair RM 450, 550, and 650 Golds are made by Channel Well, an excellent OEM. I would recommend them in the absence of something at a better price-point.

If you plan to overclock, then you could use somewhat faster memory.
CPU - check
Cooler for overclockable CPU - check
Motherboard that supports overclocking - check
Sufficient, good enough memory - check
Appropriate GPU - check
Storage - check
Case - personal choice
PSU of appropriate size and quality - check

Are you thinking of SLI in the future?

I don't think so. I should probably add another 140mm fan to the front of the case. Only right now I have no idea what model the included fans are.

They are standard Corsairs, from the photos, so they will be decent. They look like an AF 140 and an AF120, but I am not certain.

Will the Hyper 212 fit the board without covering a memory slot? What would be a slimmer solution? Or can I swap the fan on the Evo to the pull position?

What I would really prefer is to rotate the cooler 90 degrees and have it exhaust the hot air through the top vents.

I think that your memory is short enough to fit and the position of the fans can be adjusted vertically. You can switch the fan to pull, and you can rotate the cooler, or at least I've seen builds where others have done it.

You may need to post a specifically titled thread (Asus Z97M-Plus + Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO compatibility) to find someone with specific knowledge.
