Question Can you turn off this "enhance" button on youtube?

so noticed this button appearing on youtube videos today it says enahnce and is a playbutton with a wand thing in the corner.
assuming this is some new addition but is there anyway to turn it off?

I just looked at a couple of youtube videos that I am familar with and did not note any new icons, buttons, etc..

That button's been around for a year. Only Google would put it right over the screen when there is a giant toolbar just above it with empty space.

The workaround is to keep the mouse cursor off the screen while playing.

Microsoft Edge, and did the search and it looks like there is a chrome extension enhancer but since I'm not using chrome and I did check my extensions and didn't find it.

Really? pretty sure I would have noticed it. I can't completely say its not possible but considering how often I leave the mouse over the screen really don't think so.
and there is no way to get rid of it?

No idea. But the two links I provided show the Enhance button next to the Picture-in-Picture one and the latter can definitely be turned off in your Youtube profile settings under Playback.

If it helps, I have never signed into Youtube and see neither button.

Yeah.. happened to me too after edge's last update yesterday.

until they fix it, just go to URL edge://flags , find "microsoft video super resolution" and set it to "disabled"
