Hi, I have an outlet that currently has a 1HP inverter aircon connected to it.

I want to use the same socket for a power strip, so i can plug in a laptop and desk lamp (and maybe a few other small things). Can I just get a splitter to do this? Is this a good idea?

EDIT: looks like the sockets requires a tandem plug with ground, and i don't know if there are any adapters/splitters like that :/

I would not do that.

The air conditioner is likely to cause sags and spikes for all devices on the same circuit. Not good for electronics.

And adding more devices of any sort could overload the circuit causing breakers to trip and if the breakers fail then there could be overheating and a fire started.

Many power strips and similar products are cheaply made and inherently unsafe even if marked "certified" etc..

Get a qualified electrician to take a look at your residence and make suggestions. There could be other problems lurking about.
