Can you use a tubing cutter (see link below) to cut acrylic without cracking?

I'm having a bit of a predicament here because I asked a question earlier on about what to use to cut acrylic, and someone answered that you could use a tube cutter like this one:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/104-Tubing-Cutter-32985/100021967?AID=11210757&PID=3736271&SID=skim83512X1540009X17e9f1989e635940b3fe80c73c6105a1&cm_mmc=CJ-_-3736271-_-11210757&cj=true

But I've been looking around and some people are saying to just use a fine tooth saw instead, but others are saying it's fine. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.

Also, the link to the acrylic I'm going to use: http://www.performance-pcs.com/bitspower-non-champher-crystal-link-12mm-od-tube-length-500mm.html

Solution
You can use either of them (as stated in the other thread). The pipe cutter works as long as you go easy on the tightening and spin it alot. A saw is quicker, but also results in a rougher cut that requires a rasp to finish properly.
If the cutter can get through copper pipe without denting it, you can cut a plastic tube without it cracking.
