Having troubles with gpu and I need the DVI port. I have an old 450gts sitting around can I use the DVI port on it without installing drivers. Just for web surfing and stuff. Don't really want to go through the hassle and/or problems that having the old 450's drivers could bring. So can I and if so how would I go about it. Seems Windows just loves installing things. Any input would be appreciated.

Sorry guess I wasn't clear I didn't mean the drivers themselves were old. I was talking about the card being my "old" one and then my "new" card. I didn't want to run into any driver issues when finally installing my new one. So instead of going through the trouble to delete all traces of the old drivers (as in my old card) before installing the new ones (as in new card). I can just plug and play so to speak.

Though now that I think about it if I went with a nvidia card like a gtx1060 or even a 1070 I wouldn't have to worry about driver issues would I?

I got a RX480 but it was DOA. I was kinda thinking about nvidia anyways so if I could install the 450 short term without issue I'll just save a little more and bump up to a 1070. Thanks.
