Can your GPU handle Alice Madness Returns?

Hello,

I have a Gtx 480 and sadly, it doesn't run Alice Madness Returns that well. It uses a lot of memory (826,536 K) from processes under windows task manager.

The game can only be run with low PhysX. I can pretty much run every game I own on highest setting except this new game. My computer specs are much better than the minimum requirements, but a friend said it could be the game and/or also my 1920x1080 24 inch monitor.

The game is occasionally laggy still such as when jumping which gets me killed often. A lot of people are waiting for a patch from EA, but I was just wondering if anyone else who has a better GPU card are having issues as well?

It saddens me that I will probably have to get the PS3 version so I can play it without low frame rates and any lag. The umbrella block problem still sucks having to hold down Caps lock simultaneous to block.

Anyways share with me and the rest of the internets please!

Driversweeper is unnecessary with nvidia's install package, they have an option to do a clean install which automatically removes the previous version first.

as fot the op your gpu is plenty strong enough to max out alice. i run it on mine all be it with physics on low.
as you have a cuda core then you may need to go into your nvidia pannel and check physx is actually turned on if your getting sub par performance. as you only need a 560 to max out that game at 1080p your 480 is a stronger card so should have no issues.

Because driversweeper is an older product and Nvidia recently added the clean install feature. If you don't believe me, try it yourself.

driversweeper can solve many issues. if you dont want to use it thats fine, but there is no point disregarding it when its another solution to try. Im sure even nvidia's uninstaller leaves registry entries that you cant see. you wouldnt even know if it was doing the same job as driversweeper, all you see is that its gone from the add/remove programs list. also driversweeper should be run in safe mode for it to remove everything, i dont believe nvidia's tool does that.....

Hi, the name William, i installed Alice last night, i faced same problem as your, my computer spec is i7 2600K, 4GB ram, Asus GTX570 DirectCUII, CoolerMaster 750W PSU, Alice setting low for PhysX, off for other setting, still it run leaky, sometime error too.

It is really a patch coming?

Hi i did install this some days ago and i come in and it looks nice and i can play some secund then my Computer TOTALY Froze have looked on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ but the game isent in the list-.-

I have Intel core 2 Quad CPU, 4GB RAM, XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5, Corsair TX 750W

If it is as i think it is my Grafic card that cant handle it what i know it dont have PhysX

but it can be my CPU too so thats why i ask for help what do i need to change first?

Nvidia driver clean install.......It does NOT work. I was getting awful frames after the install of new Nvidia drivers. The ones before I installed the bf3 beta drivers, I used the clean install and still awful frames. I ran driver sweeper and reinstalled drivers and BOOM worked perfectly. The Nvidia application does NOT work all the time.
