Cannot access mp3's after upgrade to WIn 10

I have all my Mp3's stored on an external HD .. .all Ok before I upgraded from 8.1 to 10.
I now am unable to play any of them from one folder ... I can access folder but get error in Win Media Player / Groove to say they cant get access to file with code Oxc00d11d2
I have tried to go to properties / security / advanced & map as per another folder that contains MP3's that play ok ... but no joy
Please help

Solution in this link resolved the issue for Xbox and should be able to rectify the problem in your PC as well.
