Hello, I recently switched internet providers and bought a new wireless router (NETGEAR - Wireless-AC1750 Dual-Band Gigabit Router) and my connection has been great, however I am unable to access certain websites like Netflix and Twitch. I am able to watch Youtube and access all other sites I regularly use (I can obviously access tomshardware). I have absolutely no idea why it is only these 2 sites and how to fix it. It is not just on my PC, it is also on all other devices connected to this network (phones, laptops, PS3). When I try to load the website or access the app it takes a while attempting to load and then says "This site can't be reached www.netflix.com took too long to respond."

If anyone has any helpful advice or suggestions it would be much appreciated. Let me know if there is any other information I can provide that might make it easier to find a solution.

Thankyou! I need my streams back 🙁

The error message you're getting is typical of a DNS lookup failure. Try changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google). An alternative is 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS). DNS normally defaults to your ISP's DNS servers, and your ISP may be playing shenanigans with Netflix access to try to reduce their bandwidth costs.

Try accessing fast.com in a web browser. This is a separate domain Netflix set up which points to their video streaming IP addresses. It measures your bandwidth to those servers. If it is substantially slower than your regular Internet speeds, your ISP is throttling Netflix. Complain to your local regulatory agency. If you are in the U.S. or EU, this is a violation of net neutrality policies.

Try taking the Internet Health Test. It's like speedtest.net, but measures your speed to each of the major Internet backbone providers. There's a small possibility your ISP is (sort of) innocent, and their connection to the backbone through which they get Netflix and Twitch just sucks and is being overwhelmed by all their other customers trying to stream video from those services. ("Sort of" innocent because a responsible ISP would take this as a sign that they need to pay to improve that connection.)

Both of you were right, it worked as soon as I changed my DNS. The speed is pretty close to what I'm paying for luckily. Thanks a lot for the speedy replies, now I can stream again :)
