Hello all,

I have a couple a 2-3 year old Network hard drive model: WD10000H1NC-00. I recently purchased a different hard drive and want to use this as my backup. However, I am unable to access the hard drive when plugging it into my new computer. I can't access it over the network or through USB. I have tried to reset to clear all the settings but I cannot access the My Book page through my browser to perform a hard reset.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks for the looking.

Are we to understand that you are trying to upgrade the HDD within your My Book World Edition? If so, then be aware that the HDD is preloaded with a Linux OS and software. You will need to find the instructions for restoring this software.

This site looks promising:

If you are trying to recover the data on your existing My Book HDD, then you could try Linux Reader for Windows (freeware):

Hey sorry for the late reply. No the drive doesn't show up in Disk Management. I just got a new computer and remembered about this drive so I thought I'd give it another shot. No luck so far
