I have an older Gateway Destination 31" monitor and with my new Win XP MCE
computer I cannot change the resolution past 640x480. The monitor supports
800x600 because that is what I ran it at on my Win 98 machine. Also when I
boot into safe mode it displays at 800x600, but when I restart normally it
will not display properly at 800x600. This is extremely aggrivating!! Can
anyone tell me why it would display beautifully at 800x600 in safe mode but
not in normal mode? I would be extremely grateful to anyone who can tell me
how to fix this or give me an idea of who I would need to contact. Thanks so
much!!

Resoluion problems are normally handle by:

1) Installing up to date motherboard chipset drivers
2) Installing the the latest video card drivers (from the manufacturer's web
site)
Beware of driver updates from Windows Updates web site
3) Install the correct monitor drivers.
