Question Cannot connect to shared printer 0x00000709

I'm working with an office with two workstations. The "server" has an Epson Epson LQ-590 printer connected via usb and shared to the second workstation. Recently, Windows updates have been breaking the shared printer (shocking). When I uninstall KB5007186 and KB5006365 it starts working again. I even tried blocking these updates with the "show and hide updates" utility. They still get installed and they still break the shared printer.
When this happens I get error 0x00000709 when trying to connect. It's driving me nuts!
