Cannot connect to the majority of steam multiplayer games.

Attempting to joining a lobby results in stuttering, freezing, and then a crash, it happens on lots of games that I've tested it on, "The forest/orion prelude/don't starve together/ark survival evolved" anybody have any idea how to fix this? Should be noted that singleplayer works fine on all these games. Also tested this on a laptop right next to me and the laptop could open them all just fine.

maybe due to some ports being blocked in your firewall??
Maybe uninstall and re-install your network driver?
