I will be building my first pc in a few months, and while, I have just finished putting together a list of components, still do not know what operating system to get. It has to be windows for the games I play, but I cannot decide between Windows 8.1, which currently have on my rubbish store bought pc, or windows 10 when its released later this year. cannot afford all of parts yet anyway, so whole os will probably be out by time I get around to the build.
I would really prefer to have the latest OS,, however I am unsure. Unlike some other people I absolutely love windows 8 and cannot do without the metro start screen. would not want to get rid of it, even when using a mouse and keyboard. its easy to use and is much quicker than any start menu will ever be.
I know only the preview of win 10 is out at the moment, but wondered whether anyone could offer any advice. I heard someone say on a some video, but cannot now find that video, that win 10 may have an option to put the original start screen back, rather than have the newer menu style, that would be fine or me.
Anyway, any opinions.
