Cannot delete folder - "Item not found"

So, I've had this stubborn folder for sometime that I can't delete from my external HDD. When I try and delete it, it says "Item Not Found" - "This is no longer located in F:\Movies etc". I've tried CHKDSK etc. The funny thing is I accidentally copied the folder onto my desktop and now it is stuck there as well. Is there another way to remove this folder from my external HDD as well as my desktop now?

Edit: I managed to remove the folder on the desktop by creating a folder with the exact same name, then deleted it. As for the External HDD, this method hasn't worked yet. .

Using DelInvFile, I managed to rename the folder and the delete it normally.
