Cannot delete zero length file

In Win XP in my documents I have a file with zero length I believe a by product of trying to open a pps file with no power point installed. I want to delete it but get:

Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk

Right-click on it, and see if you can eliminate the "Read Only" property check-box, by unclicking the checkmark. Then try again.

Thank you. I thought of that already. It is not a read-only file. The problem is its zero length as no software can open it. It's just an entry with no guts.

Try opening the command prompt, using CD to move to the directory, then type "del <<filename.extension>>"
example: del zero.pps
