I recently bought a motherboard and installed it. I booted up my computer and got to a screen which prompts me to hit f12 for bios. The lights on the keyboard go on, but keystrokes are not recognized. I have tried moving my usb keyboard to different ports and tried a ps/2 keyboard with no luck. I have also reset the bios by taking the battery out.

Any suggestions? Below are my specs.

Solution
Hello everyone,

I have found a solution to this one. So I ended up getting a Maximus Hero VIII because I thought it was a bad board. I was able to get into Bios with the Maximus board, but ran into similar problem I had with a 3rd board I tried with the same components. As soon as I tried to boot from disk, hd, or USB I would get Windows 10 error msges. After researching the error codes I couldn't find exactly what they were in lamens terms so I called my buddy who is a true wizard. He said the errors I was getting were processor erros. Then I remembered overclocking the processor which wasn't an intel K edition. Only the K editions are overclockable with Intel..

Bought new K edition processor this time and now I'm up and...

I went a head and tried that. The first image came up then the screen turns black.

I built it from scratch, but not all the pieces are new. Everything but the motherboard is a few months old. I'm using windows 10.

I've tried that. I disconnected everything after flashing the cmos.

In the manual it says only part of the USB ports are functional prior to the OS loading, but the ps/2 port is supposed to be fully functional.

**Update** I can hit control alt del and it reboots.
