cannot go 3D

Just installed nvidia TNT2 Ultra 32mb. My computer hangs whenever it goes into 3D mode. I tried reinstalling all versions of the video drivers and upgraded to DirectX 8.0 too. But still no fix found. I am going crazy so hopefully someone can help me out

The PC always hang whenever there is any 3D acceleration. I have already installed DirectX 8.0 and reinstall the nividia drivers but still no use. There is an message saying "OpenGL error" The PC hangs when i run the 3DMark2000 progam or the GeForce2 GTS progam. The pc also hangs when i test using the DirectX diagnostic tool.

Can anyone help me before i go and smash up that stupid Graphic card??????

ok someimes i get weird error like that. The only things that work is a format and reinstalling windows. It's always the first thing to try. Sometimes some updates mess things up. It's windows you know.. good luck, sory i dont have any idea. Try detonator 2 instead for tnt2

Try playing your games using openGL instead. Tends to run more stable anyway.
