cannot install windows

I have a HP pavilion 15 and i cannot install windows.The usb is formated with rufus and has the correct iso.Bios is set to boot usb first (both legacy and uefi) .Every time i try to run the USB it goes to freedos.
help?

EDIT: Fixed that bs, now everytime it restarts during installation it starts as if i run it for the first time and have to install again-_-

The .ISO is windows, right? Try using the MS USB prep tool instead of rufus..

So, it's now getting as far as the windows setup, but bombing out? Check the ISO is ok.. or re-copy it.
I once had an install problem where it would crash, bluescreen, all different problems every time.. turned out to be bad RAM..

Recopied the iso, same problem.Starts installing *restarts* starts installing again

Don't use rufus, only professionals or "confused people" ever do. For standard (not slipstreamed) installs, use the media creation tool instead http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
