Hi, I cannot boot my laptop. It was working fine until my Bluetooth disappeared and i restored to an earlier time. I restarted the laptop and since then all I get is the blue screen, stop code CRITICAL PROCESS DIED.

I've tried everything I can think of and read lots online and watched many videos. I cannot boot into safe mode, I cannot reset the laptop, I've tried system restore using command prompt (I saw how to do this online), that never worked either. I use my laptop for watching YouTube, playing ages of empires 2 and writing the occasional letter. I'm reasonably computer savvy (for a computer user) and can follow instructions but I know nothing compared to the people on here. If anybody could help me I would be very grateful.

Lenovo ideapad s340 - 15API
AMD Ryzen 5 3500u
8192 MB
NVME SSD SAMSUNG

many thanks

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If you're able to enter into Recovery Environment, have you tried resetting the OS while keeping your files?

If system restore isn't helping nor can you enter Safe Mode, you will need to reinstall your OS after recreating your bootable USB installer for Windows 10(assuming you're on Windows 11 and you posted here by accident). I would advise that you install the OS in offline(disconnected from the www) mode, following this guide when you see the account creation prompt;

then manually installing the latest drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator

Hi, thanks very much for the response. I cannot reset the OS with or without keeping the files.
I was still using Windows 10 as I thought if its working fine there is no need to change (I know 🤦🏻‍♂️)
Is there a.guide how I can create bootable USB installer. I've never done that before and I'm also assuming I would need another machine to create it?

Thanks again
