Cannot open a mouse microswitch

Solution
I am going to venture out on the limb somewhat and suggest that they are made not to be opened. And possibly will self-destruct if somehow opened.

Cannot tell from the photograph how much "wiggle room" is available.

If I really wanted to open the switch I would probably start by putting a very small regular jeweler's screwdriver into the small openings visible just outboard of the orange buttons.

Appears to be some sort of self-locking tab.

Maybe just enough wedge effect to twist and pull off the cap....

Would only do that if willing to risk permanent damage that destroys the mouse. Or as an autopsy on a known dead mouse.
