Question Cannot POST after m.2 ssd installation

I have a MSI Pro Z690-A DDR4, that has 4x m.2 slots. Two of them (1 and 2) are occupied with NVME drives. Today i wanted to install a 3rd one (SSD, not NVME) on either slot 3 or 4, but on both the pc won't post, and the GPU debug light stays on. If i remove it, everything goes back to normal. Any ideas? I'm 2 BIOS updates behind, but none show any relevant fixes so i'm hesitant to proceed with it.

Had a similar issue at one point. Got it fixed by updating my BIOS. Worth a try

just performed a bios update, still the same. Like it's unable to to go past the vga test

Unfortunately not sure what might be causing it then. I'm assuming that your GPU is in the top most PCIE slot, but just in case, sometimes occupying an m.2 slot will disable a PCIE slot (def not the topmost one though)
