Cannot reinstall AMD graphics drivers

A month ago my pc crashed while playing a game, then it wouldn't boot up. I found out the reason why it wouldn't boot is because of the graphics drivers, so I uninstalled it and then my pc would start up normally again. But as soon as I try to reinstall the drivers, my screen goes black and my pc restarts and it wouldn't boot normally again.

I have a pretty old gpu but still can keep up to some of the latest games
Radeon HD 6870

I tried to use DDU, it still wouldn't install, changed stuff in regedit, no fix. Tried rolling back to older drivers, nothing.

I would love a solution to this if anyone could find one. If you could please help me, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

the latest aMD driver thingy is crimson adrenaline if i'm not mistaken , if it supports your gpu you can install it and use it .

It sounds like the 3d part on your card failed only works in 2d on win default 2d driver.

That could explain it, though I can't find a way to try and repair it. Do you have a solution?

Do not have solution since something failed internally on the card most likely in the GPU it self. Looks like you are up for an forced upgrade.
