[SOLVED] Cannot seem to delete search history outside of Google

Hello,

I have Googled to the point of frustration but can't seem to find any answers.

I am trying to find a way to clear my search history that isn't on Google. When I click the search bar on Wikipedia and other websites that are not Google, old searches appear as suggestions.
I have tried all the steps on Google Chrome to clear my search history (ie. clearing data and caches on websites), but the old searches remain.
Remember, this isn't on Google, but on other websites.
It is on my laptop on Windows 10.

I am getting very irritated by this. I know it's such a small thing, but the fact that I can't find a solution is making it feel much worse,

Hi, thank you for your quick reply.
Unfortunately it is not autocomplete that is the issue. Just clicking the search bar brings up past searches, rather than typing.

I am logged into my Google Chrome account if that's what you mean?
Other than that no.

That hasn't fixed it either. Clicking the Wikipedia search bar still brings up a list of old searches.

All that did was clear Google search and sign me out of everything but Google. Wiki search remains the same.

But that won't remove old searches from history though. Just prevent new ones?
How do I find out what extensions I have that could be causing this if that's what this is?

Yes I tried it in incognito mode and the old searches still appeared.

Unfortunately that was the second thing I tried. I use Ccleaner all the time.
