Cannot set display resolution to 1080p

Recently I changed my motherboard and CPU from an old Intel CPU to a newer and faster AMD FX 6300 in my lounge room media PC. I am also using an old low end GPU in the build. Before the change the PC was able to output 1080p to my 1080p TV but now there is no longer an option to select the native 1080p in the windows display settings.

The only options are:
1400 x 1050
1280 x 1024
1280 x 960
1152 x 864
1024 x 768
800 x 600

I don't know the exact Graphics Card model but on the device manager under display adapters it shows ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series.

In the windows display settings, the 'Display adapter properties' button shows an adapter called 'Microsoft Basic Display Driver'.

Thanks in advance

Sorry but it looks like your GPU was obsolete 4 years ago.
Your only option is to buy a new one or to roll back to an older version of Windows.

Make sure the drivers for your motherboard are installed/updated but I would guess that they are. I recommend plugging the tv into the GPU instead of the motherboard but if you will then make sure to install that gpu's graphic card drivers.

The motherboard does not have a Display output so it is definitely connected to the Graphics Card. As for the drivers i have tried searching and installing 3 drivers for the 4300/4500 Series which is the AMD Catalyst Control Center.

I see you searched online for drivers.

1.
Have you searched Windows for the Microsoft AMD driver?
Control Panel > Device Manager > right-click Display Adapter > Update Driver Software > Browse for Driver on your computer > Let me pick from a list > Uncheck 'Show Compatible Hardware'.
Then you will see every GPU ever made, find your Radeon 4300/4500 and give it a shot.

2.
Go into Settings > System - Display > Advanced > Display Adapter > Monitor tab.
Make sure it is set to generic TV 1080p.

3.
I don't know how to do this with AMD but here is the third tip, Nvidia style.
Nvidia Control Panel > Display > Change Resolution > and you may see 1080p.
If not click Customize > Create Custom Resolution > and make a 1080p preset.
If that doesn't work make a custom resolution at 1076p.
Because your TV can't do that it will default to the closest resolution it can do = 1080p.

1.
I tried all 4 of the ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series drivers with no success

2. The Monitor is 'Generic PnP Monitor'
