Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel SLR Camera will not upload to my computer. Either onto Picasa or pictures in my pc....I have widows7...thank you, Bill

I am having problems with connecting my Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300d or ds6041 to my laptop which is Windows Vista. My camera doesn't have any software. I just have the camera and a USB cord.
