Canon MP620 printer - print black/white instead of color

I have a Canon MP620 & I am currently out of colored ink. The black cartridges are full though. How do I make the printer print in black and white instead of color?

Set the output to be black and white in the print options. Didn't you post this a day or two ago? Don't know how to check the old posts you made? http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/60746-3-change-color-black-white-print-canon-mp620

Not all printers will print with even one cartridge out.

color print costs a lot; i put the thin colorless tape over the color cartridges & i saved a lot; & i still print black & white correctly
