I have B200 error on Canon Pixma MG5350
It says TURN OFF. CALL CANON.
It happened after software installation, so I suspect that Canon decided not to let us use the printer any more.
I emailed Canon and they offered 20% discount on a new printer, what a laugh.
I played with it a bit more and the printer shut off all together.
After more playing it displayed error 5100
Played a bit more and now, Error 6A81 and the carriage started knocking about very hard from left to right, right to left and so on.
So now Canon decided to break the printer all together.
I bought a new printer, guess what? not a Canon.
Canon paid millions in the USA to a group of plaintiffs as the printers stopped working shortly after warranty expired and because you cannot scan if one of the ink cartridge is empty.
Hope someone in the UK will take the initiative to start a lawsuit.

Those errors have absolutly NOTHING to do with drivers or Canon not wanting you to use the printer. They are ALL printhead related. Likely failed or dried out. Canon was right in offering a new printer for a discount as a new printhead, along with a good cleaning while the tech is in there will come very close to the cost of a new printer.

Hi bubblehead
Clogged print head should not turn printers off, I should at least be able to scan.
Also at a minimum they should give me a chance to clean or replace the head, but they didn't. Why Canon paid millions in the USA as court settlements?
And after my persistence, why is now the carriage started to knock about as if the printer is going to explode any second? Why the error changed from B200 to 5100 and to 6A81?
It is very strange indeed
Is there a way to upload a video here?

Hi bubblehead
We have now 2 printers that stopped working after software installations.
Look at those links that show how Canon treat their customers. Which is a shame really.
