Hello,
Vuescan tells me my scanner isn't connected. Windows tells me there's a driver problem. The compatibility centre says the scanner isn't compatible with Windows 7. I can see others have the same problem, but has anyone cracked it?

This is an old thread, but I found an answer and will try to post it here so a web so it can be found by others in the future.

The Vuescan site says you need to have a driver installed before Vuescan will work: "You need to install a Canon scanner driver to use this scanner on Windows and Mac OS X. Unfortunately, Canon doesn't have a driver for this scanner on Windows x64. " (http://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/canon_9900f.html) I installed the driver I had on a disk from from Canon (for Windows XP, probably -- the files are from 2004 and earlier) and then Vuescan worked.
