Can't access BIOS Windows 8

I want to overclock my PC without using any software. But when I try to access the bios when the PC boots up it never works. I have done research into the problem it may be because my PC boots to fast. The solution most people use doesn't work for me, the advanced boot up I think its called. Any suggestions?
My mobo is z87 hd3 and I have i5 4670k

No that doesnt work for me, there is no option for the bios I have tried

disconnect the sata cable from your hard drive--then it shouldnt be a problem to access the bios

email gigbyte support with the newer z77 and z87 and z97mb and windows 8.1 and ssd mb vendors put in what called fast boot. with it on the mb will boot faster then the bios key hit will be seen. vendors like msi and asus make a small software tool that call boot to bios. click on it in windows and on next reboot the mb goes into the bios and not the os.

Click restart whilst holding shift down, click "UEFI Firmware settings" and tell it to restart into bios.

Unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for a minute. At restart, the system would wait for F1.
