[SOLVED] Can't access the server from one Windows 10 system.

Hi,

We have 10 systems in the building and 1 windows server. All of the desktops are running Windows 10 and can access the shared server except for one system.

We can ping the server and get a reply but for some reason cannot access it from this one desktop.

All of the settings seem to be set the same as the rest of the desktops.

Any advice on what can be causing this issue?

try access it thru? remote desktop?
using the server name? ip address?

The server is running Windows Server 2016 and we have tried accessing the server by server name and by the IP address with no luck.

We have around 12 computer systems in the office with all the exact same specs and models and out of these 12, only one system cannot connect to the shared server on the network.

We have matched all the same network specifications and have not been able to find the issue.

shared server as in a shared folder? or app can't access the server resource?
ping the server ip address?

It is a shared folder on the server and we can ping the server from the system that cannot connect to the server to view the shared folder. We get a reply back, no problem.

Test with the same login user on the working/non-working windows 10 pc?
How the security/shared setup for the shared folder on the server? by user? by pc name?
