cant access touchpad while holding a button

My hp laptop with i5-7200U processor doesn't allow me to access my touchpad while I am holding some buttons i.e. a-z. I find this very irritating because I play a lot of games and when the battery of my mouse is down, I cant play any games. I've tried the synaptics smartsense thing but it only allows me to access my touchpad for like 1 second while I am holding a key. also I can freely navigate with my touchpad while I am not pressing the alphabetical buttons.

Sounds like a normal thing with standard laptops. Not much you can do, can use an external mouse but that may also lock up when holding in keys.
