I accidentally overclocked my graphics card using asus GPU tweak and my monitor displays lots of lines and colored squares when I'm on my desktop which prevents me from resetting any changes. My Graphics card is the Asus Matrix 7970 platinum.

Solution
Hello... Sounds like "Burn" is what you got then... Sounds like it flashed your GFX card BIO's is this a feature of the APP?
1) Try booting into "Safe Mode" and see if the Video works.

It sounds like it flashed your Video card BIO's...

https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/MATRIXHD7970P3GD5/ You card has a Jumper reset BIO's feature... try that.

OR... I would suggest finding a copy of your Video card BIO's and manually flashing it back with a USB stick and recommended Flash utility.

The Bios version should be written on a sticker on the VIDEO card... You need to match it exactly... since you...

I was playing on subnautica a computer game. I was getting artifacts so i checked the graphics card temperature and it was 80 Celsius or 176 Fahrenheit so i increased the fans from 60% to 80%. I saved the changes there and I pressed a button called burn which was an accident and the computer restarted and when the desktop appeared with lots of squares or lines preventing me from changing the settings back.

I guess so, now once i have logged in to windows my graphics card is at 100% usage and if it did flash my bios is there any way of fixing it though i don't have a backup?

Usually it's best not not have ASUS GPU tweak automatically boot with it overclocked for this very reason. Atleast you do have the jumper to resort to.
