Tried almost every method out there, edited the registry, dism scan, clean boot, ccleaner repaired any system errors, removed key and added again and so on. Just trying to find a method that doesn't make me do a clean install of Windows.

A proper clone with a previously activated OS should have NO activation issues.

What OS?
Where did the license come from?
What did you use for this clone operation?

Windows 11, it's saying the same thing with or without license, macruim reflect was used. I had trouble after cloning and couldn't boot into it and I created in cmd a new partition and placed Windows boot files there.

If there were issues with the clone, then redo it from the start.

I've never had a clone process mess up the licensing. It is just moving the stuff to a new drive, in the same system.

The drive from which I cloned is formatted, so I'm stuck with this drive that can't activate, curious thing is that it's downloading updates and installing them(saying this, as I have seen this error occuring more in this scenario). I'm wondering if I install(upgrade) windows from a mounted ISO, instead of booting from the usb, might do some good?

Activation status does not impact Windows updates. They happen on an Unactivated OS.

Install/Upgrade from an ISO should make no difference over the USB for any licensing issues.

not saying that it shouldn't update because of the activation error, from what i've searched on this error, it's occuring when trying to download updates without having any activation issues

Solution
i solved it by upgrading windows through the mounted iso(keeping files and data).

people didn't even bother to see what the error code stands for... he was rambling about the activation code when all along the code clearly said that it couldn't connect to the internet, kisses

Maybe next time, you'll get better help because you'll actually provide the information that is requested instead of using that time to complain about others taking time to care about the problem you explained extremely poorly.
