This is my first time building a gaming pc. The motherboard I am using is a Asrock ab350 pro4. I downloaded the windows 10 iso files onto my usb but when I select it as a boot up option in the bios it just goes back to the black screen with the words "reboot and boot with a media device". This is really irritating because i just spent $750 on a pc and can't even use it. Any advice will help

If you already have the ISO downloaded go to https://rufus.akeo.ie/. There you will find your answer. Or, you can redownload windows on microsoft's website. If windows 10, use this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and click on "Download tool now" and open "MediaCreationTool.exe" and follow the instructions.

You can't just download ISO and put it to a flash drive and expect it to boot up. You will need to make your flash drive bootable.
Did you use window's dvd/usb download tool to make the usb?
Basically if you never booted from that usb before there is a possibility that it's not bootable and you have to treat it like a hdd and create a primary and active partition on it for it to become bootable, some tools will do that for you other will not.
