after a power surge my pc which was gaming turned off. then when it restarted it didnt boot up. showing a blue screen and then automatic repair. then it goes to show me 🙁 your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart. we are going to restart it for you. after restarting automatic repair opens and then your it shows 🙁 your pc has ran into a problem and has to restart. we're just collecting some error info and then we'll restart it for you.
goes to 100% complete after 5 sec.

if you call a support person give them this info:
stop code: system thread exception not handled
what failed : NTFS.sys
I've tried to boot up into safe mode with its 3 modes and non worked. keeps looping into the 100% complete bsod and never restarts. appreciate any help :)

Solution
most likely the file system had open files that were in cache and not written to disk before the crash. This often causes a corruption in the file system. When the system reboots it will attempt to run a chkdsk /f on the drive to repair the file system but depending on the version of windows and if you have certain 3 rd party drivers the chkdsk can not be loaded because the file system will be marked as raw.

do this: boot windows on its own image, (from a cd or usb thumbdrive)
and run chkdsk c: /r (this will convert the raw partition back to a ntfs partition and allow the system to boot again)

some intel drivers might also rename the drive letters on your drive (causes other problems you will have to deal with)

Solution
@johnbl sorry but how can i boot from usb. do i need a windows 10 copy on it or i just change boot drive to the usb. btw i have 2 hard drives. the boot dtive is a 120gb kingston ssd and the other is a 1tb seagate hdd.

you would have to make a usb thumb drive with windows 10 image on it, then change your bios to setting to allow it to boot off the thumbdrive. you would boot up to repair cmd window and run the commands to fix the drive,

you can download the windows 10 from Microsoft and install it onto a usb thumb drive. you should not need a key.
