Failing that the only other suggestion i have is to run a repair through the Windows Installation disk/usb (which you hopefully have). Basically you will need to boot from the USB or CD ROM that your windows installation program is on and run the "Startup repair" program on the CD and see if that will fix it to the point to get you into Windows.

And memtest will run until you stop it. If you see any errors, that's a good time to stop. Otherwise some are happy with 3 passes, others say 7 passes without error shows that the ram is good. Just don't let it run for two days and wonder 'Why is this not stopping?'

Nope, what you need to do is boot your PC from the USB mate. Restart, enter BIOS, change boot drive to the USB and restart then let the test run (it will do four passes). As long as you get no errors then the memory is not the issue. If you get an error you can stop the test, i would run a second time to verify the error and if you get it again you need to RMA the RAM cards....
