Basically the title.

After I am using an application, be it, a game or just Chrome, for an extended period of time, everything else become unresponsive. I can open the task manager but can't click anything, so can't shut down the program.

To remedy the problem, I have to restart the computer with the power button, can't click the task bar to restart or shutdown computer.

Not sure what causes this exactly but seems like it has to do with the amount of time being on one application. Don't think it has to do with RAM not being able to perform(unless it is broken or something) since this has just started recently.

ASUS Prime Z270-A LGA1151
Ballistix Sport, 2400 MHz, 16 gb
GeForce GTX 1080

I don't think the system is overheating since it can happen while just browsing the Internet, but I can't be 100% sure.
