Can't configure headphones

Hi so i was able to configure my headphones yesterday and was able to set it to 7.1 virtual surround sound. Today however it seems to have stopped working in 7.1 and i can no longer configure my headphones. The headphones are logitech g430's. They are connected via a 3.5mm headphone and mic jack to usb that logitech provides with the headset.

I also have this problem. I used to be able to configure my headphones to 5.1 but I got an SSD so I installed a fresh copy of windows and now I cannot configure them :-/

Had a similar problem,
Fix I found was to connect the headset to the USB adapter, then to the PC and use the Logitech Gaming Software.
