[SOLVED] Can't connect to mapped network drives after power outage ?

Windows XP PC running on Server 2003 SP2 can't connect to mapped network drives after power outage. . You can see all of the drives but they show as unconnected.

Any idea what's causing this. Tried several different fixes already.

Yeah, the XP PC is running off a Server 2003 PC. Its using Nvidia Nforce as the controller to connect to the server.

Update:

All user settings etc. are all fine. It was pinging in and out as well on both ends. Possible NIC issue?

Update 2:

Its also connecting to the internet fine on both PCs. The internet connection on the server PC is through realtek rather than Nvidia Nforces controller card.

Update 3:

Problem fixed. The NIC was fried. The server didn't have an UPS. Replaced the NIC and it was working fine.

Im glad to hear you resolved the issue, is there a plan to migrate away from XP and Server 2003? Those are both very much past EOL.

Super late reply to this so disregard entirely if you don't see it. It was the client that wanted to continue with XP. We moved them over to Server 2022 last month thankfully and finally upgraded their old hardware.
