I can not figure out how to control all my case fan led's with dragon center. I can control my keyboard leds just fine. My case has a button that I can push that will switch the colors but I would prefer to use dragon center. All the fans are connected to this hub. the top wire goes to the switch, the bottom wire splits with 1 going to the jrainbow1 port on my mobo with the other half going to the sata connector which isn't attached to anything. Do I need a different hub?

Solution

are you sure the output cable is connected to the proper header?
if 3 pin aRGB or 4 pin RGB it would need to go the proper type.
if using a 4 pin cable on a 3 pin header you have probably damaged the RGB controller.
Do I need a different hub?
i've had a couple onboard case LED/fan hubs go bad on me.
both were replaced by the manufacturers(be quiet! & Fractal Design) with no hassle whatsoever, like they knew the others were faulty and expected the contact.

Solution
Let's assume your description is all correct. Then what I expect is happening is that the Hub is a LIGHTING Hub only (does not do any fan speed control). The TOP 2-pin connector and cable go to the LED control switch supplied with the case, and that's how you can change the displays manually. The BOTTOM connector has two 2-wire connections, and you say one pair goes to a SATA power connector that you say is NOT connected to anything. It should be plugged into a SATA power output connector from the PSU to provide power for all the fan lights. The other pair goes to the mobo JRAINBOW header, and that is so that header (and the utility supplied with your MSI mobo) can control the display INSTEAD of the manual button.

Go back to your case installation / user instructions about this Hub. MANY such systems default to using the manual button for control, but allow you to switch to let the mobo signal take over. The METHOD of switching is what you need. Often it is simply to push and hold down the manual button for 5 sec or longer.

Sorry for the delayed response! The system came prebuilt/prewired so I never moved any wires. However, i tried PaperDoc suggestion and held the LED button on my case for 5 seconds, there was a flash from the system fan leds and I CAN NOW CONTROL THEM WITH DRAGON CENTER!!! THANK YOU!!! That was the key on handing off the control from the hub to the mobo. I can't thank you 2 enough! Cheers!!

I had the same problem with my msi gungnir 110r case, then I read the manual and it said to press and hold the LED switch for 3 seconds, the LED flash white light once, and then it will be in the MSI motherboard Mystic Light synchronization mode. Now it works great :)
